The Ultimate Chapter of the 3rd Ave Ramble, Winter, 2023

This one picks up on the south side of the canal that connects Lake Union and Ballard’s Chittenden Locks and heads south along 3rd Ave W from the north tip of Queen Anne Hill, all the way to the southern end and beyond. Well, to Elliot Bay in any case and that is as far south as I can go without a submersible. This is the only one of these three to stay within one neighborhood. In the end, these three walks nominally covered 145 blocks or so. Seattle is a very north-south oriented city and this is not even the longest pedestrian-friendly stretch by any means. I’ll find out what that might be, so stay tuned. For now, enjoy!
