Ballard
Ballard is one of Seattle’s oldest neighborhoods with well over a century of history. It was its own city, settled by primarily Swedish fisherman long ago, but was annexed by Seattle. Not that some are still bitter but memories are cross-generational sometimes. This neighborhood is an interesting mix of modern apartments, ‘old’ brick business fronts, working fisherman docks, industrial warehouses, suburban retail, and taverns, taverns, taverns!
