A Ramble on the West Side of Broadway, Summer, 2022

This one winds among the blocks on west side of Capitol Hill’s main street, Broadway. It is very residential with a few cafes and shops dotted amongst the apartment buildings. It is pretty dense and is full of the old brick “cozy” apartment buildings that are very slowly being replaced by modern structures. As far as I know, the zoning laws don’t really support too much new construction as the limit is 4 stories. Most of the modern apartments need 6 to be worth the effort. Enjoy this ramble among the old neighborhood!
