A Ramble along the South Lake Union Trolley Line SB

This walk follows the (unfortunately acronymed) South Lake Union Trolley line from the backside of Westlake Center, southbound to the Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center campus on the shores of Lake Union. I go through what is known as the Amazon Campus and, wow… you can really tell most folks are still working from home.

Just about every building down here is either new, or newly remodeled and as such people say it is soulless, but I don’t know that I agree. Planned neighborhoods feel different than “organic” ones, but this doesn’t feel quite that planned, even though its organic nature seems to have been compressed.

I made this video in the winter and what’s nice is that Seattle winters are usually merely chilly and grey, just like this day. We don’t always get cold and snow, but this grey can feel relentless sometimes. We Seattle mushrooms love it. Enjoy!
