A Ramble In Magnuson Park, Autumn, 2023

This one goes through Magnuson Park. The Sandpoint Naval Reserve Station on Lake Washington was decommissioned a few decades back and most of the land was converted into a big park. There is a federally protected wetland here as well as sports fields, picnic spots, a boat launch and most of the buildings were converted into housing. Quite a little community has sprung up on the old base. There is a huge off-leash dog park on the grounds, too. There are a couple of spots where my map-following skills failed me but it wasn’t enough to really force my otherwise lazy self to redo it. That said, don’t do what I did about minute 18’ or so, lol. Enjoy!
