A Ramble from Seattle’s ID to Capitol Hill via Seattle U.
A Ramble Along Eastlake
A long walk south from the University Bridge in Seattle along Eastlake.
A Ramble along Alaskan Way
This is a walk along Seattle’s waterfront, post-viaduct, in the Spring of 2022. Enjoy!
UW Backside
This walk is a weird one as it goes from residential, to wetland, to the University of Washington Stadium District all in a row.
A Ramble Through Lower Queen Anne
This walk is a ramble through Lower Queen Anne Hill in Seattle, a mixed-use residential/retail/office neighborhood. This is a relatively quiet spring morning and I walk pretty randomly, but it is a good look at the area. Enjoy!
Magnolia Ramble, August, 2021
This is a long walk from the W. Dravus Bridge, around the south end through “downtown” Magnolia, and up to the entrance to Discovery Park. Enjoy!
A Ramble Through the University of Washington Campus
This is a walk through the University of Washington Campus, Memorial Day weekend, 2022. It is quiet, as one would expect on a long holiday weekend, but that allows the greenery to show itself off without distraction! Lots of airplane noise as I walk about, but that is life in the big city, eh? Also, I apologize for the occasional pixilation of the greys. My editing software updated recently and I haven't got the new scheme completely figured out yet. I am working on it. Enjoy!
A Ramble from Myrtle Edwards Park to Magnolia
This walk goes from Sculpture Park, near Pier 71, north through Myrtle Edwards Park and ends up just into Magnolia. It passes along the "backside" of that granary station that's on Elliott Ave W.
A Ramble from Montlake to University Bridge
This walk starts from near the south end of the Montlake Bridge, in and among all the lightrail construction, and moves along some residential streets on the south side of the Montlake Cut that connects Lake Washington and Lake Union.
A Ramble Along the First Hill Trolley to Pioneer Square
This one runs along the 1st Hill Trolley line from Capitol Hill, in front of Seattle Central College, through the International District, into Pioneer Square, Seattle’s oldest neighborhood.
A Ramble from the Dravus Bridge to the Chittenden Locks
Magnolia is a quiet, secluded neighborhood of Seattle that is only accessible by boat on the north, west and south sides, or by one of the three bridges that span the railyards on the east.
A Ramble along the South Lake Union Trolley Line SB
This walk follows the (unfortunately acronymed) South Lake Union Trolley line from the backside of Westlake Center, southbound to the Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center campus on the shores of Lake Union.
A Ramble Through Ravenna Park
Seattle has many urban green spaces, and Ravenna Park is one of the most unusual. It is pretty heavily wooded and runs diagonally compared to the surrounding city blocks.
A Ramble through Lakeview Cemetery
Graveyards are, I feel, underrated sites for peaceful walks because the park-like atmosphere can’t be beat. Lakeview Cemetery is located just north of Capitol Hill’s Volunteer Park and dates back to 1872 boasting over 40,000 graves.
